Alerts



Active Alerts. You can view active and past system alerts on the "Alerts" tab. Examples of the types of alerts the system will archive are low feed temperatures, system paused for over an hour, high pH or EC fed, room did not feed, emergency stop was pressed, etc. To clear your alerts, press "Acknowledge All."

On the "History" tab, you can select a date range to view past alerts up to 90 days ago.
If you'd like to customize the alerts you get, go to Rhythm Logo > Configuration > Email > Enter your email address and select which type of alerts you'd like to receive.

Alarm Test. Pressing Alarm Test will publish a test alarm to the Alerts page and send you an email.

Confirm condensate valve/pump is shutting off properly when not being called for.
Condensate Storage Low Level

Check condensate system and delivery valves/pumps to ensure they are working properly. Confirm Level Sensor inside Storage Reservoir is sitting at the bottom of the reservoir.
Dump Alert
Dump Initiated during Room 1 feed
Dump is ENABLED in the PROCESS CONFIGURATION page. Machine faulted and there has been no user.
Email. System has initiated an automatic dump process.

Dump Timer Initiated
Dump will begin in 30 minutes
Dump is ENABLED in the PROCESS CONFIGURATION page. Machine faulted and this is the warning that the dump timer has begun.
Email. System starts the DUMP TIMER per the PROCESS CONFIGURATION settings. After time expires, dump will initiate.

EC error
EC Cycle Attempts Alert: Cycle attempts exceeded during Room 1 feed
Machine attempted to adjust EC per the settings in PH/EC CONFIGURATION and failed.
Email. System requires user interaction. If Dump is enables, dump timer will begin.
Check nutrient containers. Confirm pre-mixed nutrients were properly mixed. Adjust recipes as necessary.
EC Sensor Alert - Calibration
Sensor readings are off. Sensors may need cleaning or calibration
Sensor readings have strayed past 0.5 of each other. Indicates sensors may need calibration.
Email.
Calibrate sensors.
EC Sensor Alert - Failure
Possible EC Sensor Failure
Sensor readings have strayed past 1 of each other. Indicates sensors may need calibration.
Email.
Calibrate sensors. Replace probes as necessary.
E-Stop Pressed
EMERGENCY STOP PRESSED
Emergency Stop was pressed or the system experienced a loss and return of power.
Email. System will remove power from all output devices (pumps, mixers, dosing pumps, valves).
PULL Emergency Stop button OUT to restore to normal.
Fresh Water Delivery Error
R.O. Delivery Failure: R.O. not delivering during Room 1 feed
Machine is calling for water to fill the tank and no water is being delivered for 5 minutes.
Email. System will continue to call for water in the event that the R.O. Delivery System resets. Alerts will continue until water is delivered.
Ensure water is available. Check Fresh Water delivery line to the AFS for closed ball valves. Check power on supply pump. Pump may need priming.
High EC Alert
High EC Alert during Room 1 feeding - Current EC: 2.65 - Setpoint: 2.2
Active Recipe EC is above the EC Deadband setting in the PH/EC CONFIGURATION page.
Email.
Check nutrient containers. Confirm pre-mixed nutrients were properly mixed. Adjust recipes as necessary.
High Feed Temperature
High Feed Temp during Room 1 feeding - Current Temp: 76.65 F
Active Recipe Temperature is above the temperature deadband setting in the PROCESS CONFIGURATION page.

Adjust water temperature if possible.
High Flow Alert
High Flow Alert: Room 1 - Current Flow Rate: 18.65 GPM
Flow Rate rose above the HIGH FLOW setting in the Room Configuration.
Email. System will continue to feed.
Check room for leaks or lose emitter/emitter locations. If flow is accurate, adjust settings in the ROOM CONFIGURATION page.
High pH Alert

Lighting Not Configured
Lighting Not Configured: Room 1
Lighting schedule is not setup in the Room Configuration.
Email.
User the ROOM CONFIGURATION page to set lighting schedule. These settings are used to transfer recipes daily/weekly.
Low EC Alert

Low Feed Temperature

Low pH Alert
Low PH Alert during Room 1 feeding - Current pH: 5.45 - Setpoint: 6.0
Active Recipe PH is below the EC Deadband setting in the PH/EC CONFIGURATION page.

Manual Dump Initiated

No Flow Detected in Room
No Flow Detected while feeding Room 1 - Current Flow Rate: 1.26 GPM
While there's an active feeding and zone is active, if for 30 seconds it stays less than or equal to the NO FLOW setpoint in PROCESS CONFIGURATION, this alarm is sent.
Email. System will continue to attempt feeding.
Check room filters and/or emitters if flow rates are low. If flow is accurate, adjust settings in the PROCESS CONFIGURATION page.
Nutrient Low Level
Position 1: [Nutrient Name]
Nutrient Level fell below the LOW LEVEL TRIGGER percentage on the NUTRIENTS CONFIGURATION page.
Email.
Fill/Replace nutrients or reset the nutrient current level from the OVERVIEW or NUTRIENT CONFIGURATION page.
Overfill Error
Mix Tank overfill switch activated - User action required to continue
Water level inside the mixing tank has reached the high level float switch.
Email. System stops all operations and waits for user interaction.
Use FULL MANUAL to move water then return machine to normal state for operation.
pH Error
PH Cycle Attempts Alert: Cycle attempts exceeded during Room 1 feed
Machine attempted to adjust PH per the settings in PH/EC CONFIGURATION and failed.
Email. System requires user interaction. If Dump is enables -- dump timer will begin.
Check pH containers. Adjust recipes as necessary.
pH Protection Alert
PH Protect Alert: Current pH is outside acceptable feed parameters - Current PH: 6.42
Active Recipe pH is outside of the PH PROTECT settings in the ADMIN CONFIGURATION page.
Email. System will stop the active recipe and wait for user interaction to continue.
Check pH containers. Adjust recipes as necessary.
pH Sensor Alert - Calibration
PH Sensor Alert: Sensor readings are off. Sensors may need cleaning/calibration
Sensor readings have strayed past 0.5 of each other. Indicates sensors may need calibration.
Email.
Calibrate sensors.
pH Sensor Alert - Failure
PH Sensor Alert: Possible pH Sensor Failure
Sensor readings have strayed past 1 of each other. Indicates sensors may need calibration.
Email.

Possible Large Leak
Possible Large Leak Detected in Manifold - Flow Rate: 4.65 GPM
Transfer Valves is Open and Feeding Zones are Closed (pressurizing room) and system sees flow above the configured BROKEN PIPE setpoint in PROCESS CONFIGURATION.
Email. System stops the active feeding and alerts user about possible broken pipe or large leak.
Check system for leaks or broken pipes and address.
Possible Large Leak
Possible Large Leak Detected in Room 1 - Flow Rate: 45.24 GPM
Transfer Valves & Feeding Zones are Open (pressurizing zones) and system sees flow above the configured BROKEN PIPE setpoint in PROCESS CONFIGURATION.
Email. System stops the active feeding and alerts user about possible broken pipe or large leak.
Check system for leaks or broken pipes and address.
Project Disabled
PROJECT IS DISABLED -- Please contact Rhythm CSS
Overdue invoices past 30 days have disabled software.
No user interaction capable until late payments are made.

Pump 1 Alert #1

Email. Software Displays PUMP FAULTED and Reset Pump Selection. Machine can not feed without user interaction.

CO2 Low
Room 1 CO2 LOW. Current CO2: 600.12
Room CO2 is below the LOW ALARM setpoint on the Room's CO2 Settings page.
Email.
Central CO2 Levels may be low. If CO2 is available, check the valve/regulator to ensure CO2 is being injected into the room. If valve is not turning on, try replacing Control Relay inside the Rhythm Cabinet.
CO2 Critical Level
Room 1 CO2 CRITICAL LEVEL. Current CO2: 3050.12
Room CO2 is above the CRITICAL CO2 setpoint on the Room's CO2 Settings page.
Email. If your Rhythm Environment System controls Exhaust - this condition will Exhaust the room for the configured Exhaust Time.
If CO2 levels do not begin to fall, check for leaks in the CO2 line/valve/regulator in the room. Replace valve if it is sticking. Replace relay if signal is not turning OFF.
Humidity High
Room 1 Humidity HIGH. Current Humidity: 75.25
Room Humidity is above the HIGH ALARM setpoint on the Room's Humidity Settings page.
Email.
Check dehumifiers. Adjust Dehumidifier STAGING if needed using the rooms HUMIDITY SETTINGS page.
Humidity Low
Room 1 Humidity LOW. Current Humidity: 76.27
Room Humidity is below the LOW ALARM setpoint on the Room's Humidity Settings page.

Lights ON Failed
Room 1 Light ON Failed
Lights ON signals were sent to the room and PAR value remains less than 3.

Check breaker panel to ensure lights have power. Check communications line from Rhythm to the Lighting Daisy Chain. Ensure there are no breaks in the line to each light. Call Rhythm for support.
Lights OFF Failed
Room 1 Light OFF Failed
Lights OFF signals were sent to the room and PAR value remains greater than 3.

Check communications line from Rhythm to the Lighting Daisy Chain. Ensure there are no breaks in the line to each light. Some lights stay on if the 0-10V signal is lost. Call Rhythm for support.
Temperature High
Room 1 Temperature HIGH. Current Temp: 90.34
Room Temperature is above the HIGH ALARM setpoint on the Room's Temperature Settings page.
Email. Lights will begin to dim to their minimum dimmable level (manufacturer specific).
System is unable to cool the room. Contact Rhythm & your HVAC provider for support.
Temperature Low
Room 1 Temperature LOW. Current Temp: 62.71
Room Temperature is below the LOW ALARM setpoint on the Room's Temperature Settings page.

In most systems, Rhythm does not call for HEAT when lights are ON. If lights are OFF and the system is calling for HEAT, you may have an HVAC issue in the room. Contact Rhythm & HVAC provider for support.
Temperature Critical Level - 1st Alert
Room 1 CRITICAL TEMPERATURE - Alert 1. Current Temp: 95.11. Lights were turned OFF till temperature recovers.
Room Temperature is above the CRITICAL TEMP setpoint on the Room's Temperature Settings page.
Email. Lights will turn OFF when this condition is achieved. Lights will turn ON when temperature is below the HIGH TEMPERATURE setpoint in the Room Temperature Configuration
System is unable to cool the room. Contact Rhythm & your HVAC provider for support.
Temperature Critical Level - 2nd Alert
Room 1 CRITICAL TEMPERATURE - Alert 2. Current Temp: 97.24
Lights were shutoff and Room Temperature has stayed above the CRITICAL TEMP setpoint for 5 minutes.
